Check-in

Passengers must arrive at the place for check-in and baggage handling well in advance before the check-in deadline in order to go through the procedures for check-in and baggage handling, payment for excess and/or other chargeable baggage, screening, etc. (preflight procedures), and to complete the requirements associated with border, customs, sanitary quarantine, veterinary, and phytosanitary quarantine control, stipulated by the legislation of the Russian Federation or legislation of the country from which the passenger departs, as well as to the place of boarding.

Check-in for passengers and baggage at the airport opens 2 hours and ends 40 minutes prior to the scheduled departure. For Aurora Airlines JSC flights operated by DHC-6 aircraft within Primorye Territory, a check-in deadline of 30 minutes prior to the scheduled departure is allowed.

Online check-in

Advantages of online check-in:

  • You can check in for your flight from your home or office.
  • Online check-in opens 24 hours and closes 45 minutes prior to the scheduled departure.
  • You can choose your seat.
  • You can print out your boarding pass. You do not need to report to the check-in counter upon arrival at the airport.
  • You can use an electronic boarding pass if the airport infrastructure allows for it.
Please note:

Information on whether electronic boarding passes can be used should be checked at the airport of departure or on its official website, if available.

Due to security requirements, at airports that do not provide the option of using electronic boarding passes, you must have a printed boarding pass to go through passport control and preflight screening.

If you were unable to print out your boarding pass in advance, you can print it out at a self-service check-in kiosk (if available), using the “reprint boarding pass” option, or at the check-in counter at the airport, no later than 45 minutes prior to the scheduled departure.

You can check in for your flight if

  • you are traveling on Aeroflot (SU) and/or Aurora (HZ) flights departing from airports equipped with Aeroflot and Aurora check-in systems.
  • you are not carrying pets, weapons, or baggage in the passenger seat.
  • you are not traveling with children under 2 years old.
  • you do not require an escort for an unaccompanied child or a person with a disability.

Kiosks

For codeshare flights operated jointly with Aeroflot PJSC, you can use self-service check-in kiosks where your name can be automatically read from your Aeroflot Bonus or credit card (provided that it is spelled the same way as in your booking) in order to reduce the number of check-in steps.

Check-in kiosks allow you to speed up your check-in, select seats, and if possible, fly next to your family or friends traveling with you.
